Catalyst President to Participate in Panel Discussion on Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations
AUSTIN, TEXAS (September 21, 2017) — Jamie Matusek, President of Catalyst, an Austin-based agency specializing in marketing for student and multifamily housing, will participate in a panel on how to effectively converge revenue management and marketing to optimize earnings in varying market conditions at this year’s Maximize Conference taking place October 2-4, 2017. The conference, held in Austin, Texas, will focus on asset management and long-term value creation in apartment portfolios.
Alongside John Reardon, Vice President of Marketing at Beacon Communities LLC; Jennifer Cassidy, Senior Vice President of Asset Management at Campus Advantage; and Jason Whittington, Vice President of Business Solutions at Gene B. Glick Company, Inc.,Matusek will explain how savvy operators are using enhanced technologies to navigate changing market conditions to avoid decreased asset valuation. The panel, held Tuesday, October 3 at 3:15 p.m., will also explore how managing new and renewal pricing, along with fresh data sources, are affecting critical areas such as lease expiration management and leasing effectiveness to drive overall asset management. Panelists will offer insights into the importance of training around lease renewals and the impact they have on overall asset management, as well as share real world examples of how leveraging revenue management and marketing data can enhance lease expiration practices.
“I am excited to participate in the Maximize conference this year,” said Matusek. “It is so important for leaders in the space to gain insights into how aligning teams around the strategy of an asset can strengthen leasing performance. Many organizations struggle because they operate in silos with little communication between marketing, leasing, operations, and asset management. Our panel of experts will share how this alignment can work to increase the value of an asset.”
Matusek has shared her marketing vision and business acumen at other industry events led by the National Apartment Association, the National Multifamily Housing Council, and Apartment Internet Marketing. She most recently presented at Gathering of the Games, named one of the 7 ‘Can’t Miss’ Conferences For Entrepreneurs in 2017 by Forbes – and was interviewed for She’s A Boss Podcast. In addition, she has contributed to industry publications, including Student Housing Business, Multifamily Executive, Multifamily Insiders, Globe Street, and Multi-Housing News.
