Catalyst was contracted by Hunt — the 3rd largest owner of single-family rentals in the country — to brand a new division within their company called Hunt Communities, which focuses on land development.
The Catalyst team brainstormed a variety of names and the one selected was Avanta — a spin on advantage / advance; favorable to success; superiority of position or condition; benefit; and opportunity. The name was inspired by the notion that clients who partner with Hunt Communities’ gain a significant advantage or working with forward-thinking land developers committed to delivering exceptional returns in the best development locations.
Creating the Avanta logo encompassed two triangles moving in a forward position, which is a nod to the meaning of the name, and a blue-focused palette that communicates experience and trustworthiness. As part of the deliverables, Catalyst also created a brand sheet with lifestyle imagery portraying corporate-style staff and families to represent both sides of the business, as well as tagline concepts and a branded pitch deck.
